Washer dryers: a 2-in-1 solution for a smaller space
A washer dryer combines washing and drying in a single appliance, saving space and simplifying the daily routine. This solution is particularly suitable for flats and homes with limited space, where a separate tumble dryer cannot be installed.
1Store.lv offers washer dryers with real availability in our warehouse in Riga and fast delivery in Riga and the Riga region.
Washing and drying in one cycle
A 2-in-1 model lets you wash and dry the laundry in a single programme, without having to move it to another appliance. This saves time and makes everyday life easier, especially in smaller bathrooms.
Please note that the drying capacity is usually smaller than the washing capacity. If you want to dry a full load, you may need to choose a smaller amount or dry it in two cycles.
Capacity and suitability for your household
- 7–8 kg for washing: suitable for 1–2 people
- 9–10 kg for washing: suitable for families
- 5–6 kg for drying (depending on the model)
When choosing a model, it is important to consider how often you will actually use it and the size of your family, not just the maximum technical load.
WashTower and laundry towers
A WashTower, or laundry tower, consists of two separate appliances, a washing machine and a dryer, placed vertically with a shared control panel.
- A larger drying capacity
- Faster cycles for intensive use
- Ergonomic controls at an optimal height
A 2-in-1 model is the more compact solution, while a laundry tower provides higher performance for frequent use.
Modern technologies
- Inverter motor: quieter and more stable operation
- Steam function: for fewer creases and refreshed fabrics
- Moisture sensors: for precise drying control
- Quick programmes: for everyday use
- Wi-Fi connectivity: remote control and additional programmes in the app
Energy efficiency class: an important explanation
For washer dryers, the energy label states two classes:
- Washing + drying (the combined cycle)
- Washing only
Under EU rules the class for the combined cycle is shown as the main figure. It may look lower, because drying consumes more electricity.
If you use the appliance only for washing, the energy efficiency class is usually the same as for modern washing machines without a dryer: economical and in line with current standards.
So it is important to understand: a lower combined figure does not mean high consumption in washing mode.

Frequently asked questions
Does a washer dryer replace a separate tumble dryer?
For everyday use: yes, especially in homes with limited space. For intensive use a separate tumble dryer usually provides a larger capacity and a faster cycle.
Why does the energy efficiency class look lower?
The main figure is calculated for the combined washing and drying cycle. If the appliance is used only for washing, consumption is similar to that of an ordinary washing machine.
How often is it advisable to use the drying function?
Drying can be used whenever needed: in rainy weather, in winter or to get clothes ready quickly. In everyday life many users combine drying with natural drying in order to optimise consumption.
