LG side-by-side refrigerator: how to choose
In a side-by-side refrigerator the fridge and freezer stand next to each other, each behind its own full-height door. They are also called American-style fridges. Our LG models are about 91 cm wide and about 179 cm high, with a total volume of 628-664 l, all No Frost.

Two-door, side-by-side or American-style
In Latvian shops a «two-door fridge» can also mean an ordinary fridge with two doors and the freezer at the top or bottom. Side-by-side means both compartments run full height next to each other. LG recommends leaving about 5 cm at the sides and back and room for the doors to open at least 90°. See the exact dimensions in each model's specifications.
Water dispenser: plumbed or with a tank
A plumbed model needs a connection to the water supply and makes ice and chilled water itself. A non-plumbed model has a built-in tank that you fill by hand: no water supply is needed. The specifications show which one a model has. Some models have no dispenser.

Frequently asked questions
Is a side-by-side the same as a two-door fridge?
A side-by-side is a two-door fridge with the fridge and freezer next to each other. An ordinary two-door fridge can have the freezer at the top or bottom, see bottom-freezer refrigerators.
Will a side-by-side fit through my door?
Compare the doorway width with the refrigerator depth in the specifications. If in doubt, write to us and we will help you check before delivery.
Does the water dispenser need a water supply?
Only plumbed models. Models with a built-in tank do not need one.
Why are side-by-side fridges class D or E?
The class also depends on volume: a big fridge uses more kWh per year. Compare the kWh on the energy label between models of similar volume.
