How to choose a dishwasher: type, width and capacity
This category includes all our dishwashers: built-in and freestanding, 45 and 60 cm wide, from Bosch, Whirlpool, Electrolux and AEG. Some models are in our warehouse in Riga and available right away, others we order from the supplier. The cards show the price with VAT and availability, and the list can be sorted by price. Below we sum up what to check before you buy, so the dishwasher fits your kitchen, holds the dishes you need and uses less water and electricity.
Types of dishwashers
Built-in dishwashers
Installed in the kitchen units under the worktop with a furniture front on the door, so the appliance is hidden. A common choice when you plan or renovate a kitchen.
Freestanding dishwashers
They have their own casing and top, so no niche is needed. A good fit for a rented flat or a kitchen you are not changing.
Slim dishwashers 45 cm
Built-in and freestanding models 45 cm wide for a small kitchen or a narrow niche.
By brand: Bosch, Whirlpool, Electrolux and AEG.
Width and capacity: 45 or 60 cm
Capacity is given in place settings. One place setting is the tableware one person uses for a meal: plates, cup, glass and cutlery, as defined by the EN 60436 standard.
- 60 cm. The standard width; our models hold 14-15 place settings. Usually chosen by families or by those who cook at home every day.
- 45 cm. A narrower machine; our models hold 10-11 place settings. It fits a small kitchen, a household of one or two, or a niche only 45 cm wide.
- Baskets. Check in the specifications whether there is a third rack for cutlery and whether the upper basket can be raised for large plates and pots.
Dimensions and connection
- Built-in. Our models are 82 cm high and 55-56 cm deep. The niche height the machine fits and the size of the furniture front are given by the manufacturer in the installation instructions.
- Freestanding. 85 cm high including the top and 59 cm deep.
- Connection. You need a water tap, a drain outlet and a power socket nearby. Hose lengths are listed in the specifications.

Energy label: what to compare
Since 1 March 2021 dishwashers carry the EU energy label with classes from A to G (Regulation (EU) 2019/2017). It shows the energy consumption in kWh per 100 cycles of the Eco programme, the capacity in place settings, water consumption in litres per cycle, the Eco programme duration and the noise level in dB(A) with a noise class from A to D. The QR code leads to the model's entry in the EPREL database.
Our dishwashers are in classes A to E, with 54-95 kWh per 100 cycles and 8.7-10.5 l of water per cycle. To estimate the yearly cost, divide the kWh by 100, multiply by the number of washes (for example, 4 times a week is about 200 cycles a year) and by your electricity price. Each model page has a link to the product information sheet with all these data next to the price.
Eco programme and noise
The Eco programme takes longer than quick programmes, about 3-5 hours on our models: the machine heats the water less and soaks the dishes longer, so it uses less electricity. The energy class is measured on the Eco programme.
For an open-plan kitchen or a studio flat, choose a quiet dishwasher. Noise class A on the label means less than 39 dB(A). Our models range from 38 to 47 dB(A).

Frequently asked questions
Will a built-in dishwasher fit my niche?
Compare the width, height and depth of the niche with the manufacturer's installation instructions: they list the niche size range and the size of the front. If in doubt, send us the niche dimensions on WhatsApp and we will help you choose.
Is the furniture front included?
No. The front for a built-in dishwasher is ordered with the kitchen units, so it matches the other doors. Our technician hangs and adjusts it during installation.
Why does the Eco programme take several hours?
To save electricity, the machine heats the water to a lower temperature and washes longer. If you need the dishes sooner, choose a quick programme, but it usually uses more energy.
45 or 60 cm: which to choose?
If the niche is 60 cm wide, take a 60 cm model: it holds 14-15 place settings and large pots. A 45 cm model suits a space only 45 cm wide or a household that washes fewer dishes.
What happens to my old dishwasher?
When you buy a new one with delivery, we take the old one for recycling free of charge. If the old machine is built in, removing it is included in the installation service.
