How to choose an Elica cooker hood
Elica is an Italian brand that specialises in cooker hoods. Here are all our Elica hoods: all of them are built into a kitchen cabinet, so they are almost invisible in the kitchen. There are telescopic models and fully integrated units from 50 to 90 cm wide.

Telescopic or integrated
| Type | How it works | Our models |
|---|---|---|
| Telescopic | Pull out the front panel while cooking, and the hood covers more of the hob | ELITE and TT14, 50, 60 and 90 cm |
| Integrated unit | Built into a cabinet or canopy above the hob, only the underside is visible | ERA, BOXIN and CIAK, 52, 60 and 72 cm |
What to look at
- Width. The hood should be at least as wide as the hob: for a 60 cm hob choose 60 cm or wider.
- Extraction rate. Our Elica models reach about 220 to 610 m³/h at maximum. For a larger kitchen or a gas hob choose a more powerful one.
- Ducted or recirculating. Ducted extraction sends the air into the ventilation. Without a duct the hood works in recirculation mode with a carbon filter.
- Energy class. From B to D on our Elica models.
