How to choose an Electrolux cooker hood
All our Electrolux cooker hoods are built-in and have Hob2Hood: with a compatible hob they switch on by themselves when you start cooking. Airflow from 330 to 700 m³/h. Below is a short guide to power, width and installation.

Power, width and noise
- Airflow. The usual advice is a hood that replaces the kitchen air 10-12 times per hour: kitchen volume in m³ × 10-12. For an open-plan kitchen choose a more powerful model.
- Width. The hood should be no narrower than the hob. Built-in hoods are chosen by cabinet width and cut-out, see the specifications.
- Noise. We show the noise in dB on each model card; a lower number means quieter operation.
Ducted or recirculation
If the kitchen has a ventilation duct, the hood is connected to it and the air goes outside. Without a duct the hood works in recirculation mode with a carbon filter that traps odours. The carbon filter is chosen by hood model (PNC code in the manual), and Electrolux advises replacing it every 3-4 months. Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher.

Can it work without a duct?
Yes, in recirculation mode with a carbon filter. The filter is chosen by hood model.
How powerful a hood do I need?
Work out the kitchen volume and multiply by 10-12: that is the airflow you need in m³/h.
