How to choose a gaming TV
Here are TVs whose panel has a native refresh rate of 100 Hz or more: motion is smoother and sharper, and consoles and PCs can use their full frame rate. We show the refresh rate on every card in the «Refresh rate» line, for example «120 Hz · VRR 165».

What 100, 120, 144 and 165 Hz mean
- 100/120 Hz. PS5 and Xbox Series X output up to 120 frames per second. To see them you need a 120 Hz panel and an HDMI 2.1 input.
- 144-165 Hz. Useful for a PC with a powerful graphics card: a higher rate gives even smoother motion.
- VRR. Variable refresh rate matches the screen to the frame rate and prevents tearing. We show its maximum on the card after the refresh rate.
- ALLM. Auto low latency mode switches on game mode when you connect a console.
What else to check
In the specifications, check the number of HDMI 2.1 inputs: if you connect both a console and a soundbar with eARC, you need at least two. For dark games and films OLED is a good fit, in a bright room Mini LED is brighter.
